Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Student Wellbeing Manager to join our team at Victoria College of Arts and Design. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality support to our students, ensuring their wellbeing and welfare needs are met, and enhancing their overall student experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent the Wellbeing Team: Serve as the primary point of contact for students, staff, and external partners regarding wellbeing-related matters.
- Manage the Wellbeing Team: Lead a cross-campus team responsible for delivering wellbeing and welfare services that meet the diverse needs of our students.
- Provide Wellbeing Support: Offer direct support to students, addressing their wellbeing concerns, and signposting them to external resources as needed.
- Enhance Student Experience: Prioritize student wellbeing and safeguarding, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with academic managers, student support staff, and external partners to ensure seamless service delivery and issue resolution.
- Develop and Deliver Workshops: Design and deliver wellbeing workshops, webinars, and awareness-raising events to promote student wellbeing and mental health.
- Policies and Procedures: Develop, implement, and maintain clear policies and procedures to ensure effective risk assessment, support, and referral of students to external bodies as required.
- Communication and Liaison: Establish and maintain productive relationships with colleagues across the institution, external partners, and stakeholders to support service delivery and issue resolution.
Requirements:
- Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Psychology or related subjects.
- Experience: 2 years or more relevant experience in the Further Education/Higher Education sector.
- Skills: Sensitivity and empathy, team management, excellent communication skills, problem-solving skills, experience working with diverse students, and strong IT skills.
