Payroll Administrator Role:

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team at Alexander Sloan LLP, a leading independent accountancy firm in Scotland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the payroll team and clients to ensure timely completion of payroll tasks, including weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly deadlines.
  • Process payroll-related information, including starters, leavers, and statutory payments.
  • Process payroll from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide excellent service to clients, with a strong understanding of pensions, NI, tax, and statutory payments.
  • Perform additional tasks, such as calculating holiday and statutory payments, managing year-ends, and improving efficiency for clients and the firm.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of payroll experience.
  • Knowledge of NI, tax, and statutory payments.
  • Organized and able to prioritize and manage workload.
  • Experience with cloud-based payroll software packages is desirable.
  • Knowledge and experience of using Sage 50 payroll.
  • Ability to work towards deadlines and improve efficiencies.
  • Excellent IT skills.
