We are seeking an experienced Sales Leader to drive growth at Blue Cube (PCS), a specialist in portable cold storage. As a seasoned professional, you will leverage your expertise to develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy, leading a team to achieve set targets.

About Blue Cube (PCS):

We are a leading provider of innovative cold storage solutions, renowned for our tailored service and dedicated support. Our business is evolving, transitioning from a traditional rental model to an innovative 'equipment as a service' approach.

We have recently launched a market-leading blast freezer, InnoBlastTM, which has demonstrated significant cost savings in customer trials. Our equipment plans for the future include additional ESG elements, such as wind turbines, EV charge points, battery storage, and heat recovery.

As a business, we are fortunate to have the backing of Turner, a fourth-generation family investment office, who support our ambitious growth plans.

About this opportunity:

We are looking for a dynamic and seasoned leader with:

  • Proven track record: Experience as Head of Sales, National Sales Manager, or Sales Director, ideally within a specialist capital equipment rental business.
  • Industry insight: Experience in selling specialist machinery to food or pharmaceutical manufacturing sectors is highly beneficial.
  • Business Development: Demonstrated success in building new business relationships and winning new business across multiple markets.
  • Innovative Approach: Ability to thrive without the support structures of a larger corporate environment and achieve outstanding results.
  • Leadership Qualities: Positive communication skills, exceptional leadership, and the ability to cultivate and enhance our team culture.
  • Strategic Thinker: High intellectual capacity with a proactive, common-sense approach.
  • Customer-Centric: Willingness to be customer-facing and driven by opportunities to grow the business.
  • Energetic and Resilient: A self-starter who is energetic, creative, resilient, and tenacious, with a strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Decision-Maker: Confident in making decisions quickly and operating at pace.

As our Sales Leader, you will:

  • Own the Sales Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy, leading a team to achieve set targets.
  • Consultative Approach: Employ a technical, consultative, solutions-based sales approach rather than a price-focused strategy.
  • Client Engagement: Engage with key accounts and support the sales team through regular national travel.
  • Proximity to Head Office: Be based within a reasonable commuting distance of the Midlands for ease of access to our Head Office in Stafford.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive growth and achieve set targets.
  • Lead a team of sales professionals to achieve sales targets and provide guidance on sales techniques and strategies.
  • Engage with key accounts and support the sales team through regular national travel.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sales strategies and tactics.
