About the Role

The Head of Marketing will be a vital part of the senior leadership team at FMCG Exec, responsible for owning the marketing strategy and equity in the UK. This includes setting the local vision, in line with the UK portfolio strategy, and cascading it to all functions and teams effectively.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of key trends within the private label and branded food category, and will be able to ensure FMCG Exec is seen as a leader within its category.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives
  • Lead a team of direct reports, providing coaching and guidance to ensure they are equipped to meet their roles and responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and alignment across the organization
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity, identifying opportunities to stay ahead of the curve
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and partners
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a senior marketing role, ideally within the food industry
  • Strong understanding of private label and branded food categories
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing team
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to drive business growth and profitability
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
