Job Title: Rehabilitation Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Rehabilitation Assistant to join our team at Central London Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

As a Rehabilitation Assistant, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver individualized care plans, promoting independence and well-being for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist qualified staff in carrying out individual and group treatment sessions, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times.
  • Provide therapy interventions as part of a multidisciplinary team, working within an agreed scope of practice.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of patient care plans, in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, ensuring seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in supervision and appraisal processes, reflecting on practice and identifying areas for professional development.
Person Specification

We are looking for a motivated and empathetic individual with a strong foundation in healthcare. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A good general standard of education, including English and Mathematics at GCSE level (Grade 9-4) or equivalent.
  • NVQ in a relevant subject or equivalent skills gained through work experience.
  • Previous work experience in a hospital or community rehabilitation setting, with a focus on older adults.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Basic knowledge of the conditions treated in the rehabilitation setting, with a willingness to learn and develop skills.
