About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trading Assistant to join our team at Sainsbury's. As a Trading Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our stores, providing excellent customer service, and contributing to the overall success of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Store Operations: Assist in the replenishment of stock, checking dates of fresh produce and grocery products, and helping to unload deliveries.
  • Customer Service: Provide a high level of customer service, answering queries, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve store goals and objectives.
  • Initiative and Problem-Solving: Take ownership of tasks and responsibilities, and use initiative to resolve problems and improve processes.
Requirements
  • Age: 18 years or older (due to the type of goods that may be handled).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, with the ability to accurately check dates and stock levels.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work on feet for long periods, with the ability to lift and move stock as required.
