Apprentice Building Surveyor

ZipRecruiter is seeking a skilled Apprentice Building/Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a Quantity Surveyor specializing in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) projects, you will be responsible for managing the financial and commercial aspects of M&E packages from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage cost control and commercial management of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) projects.
- Prepare, review, and update detailed cost plans and budgets.
- Conduct tender analysis and manage procurement processes.
- Assess, negotiate, and agree on valuations, variations, and final accounts.
- Provide regular financial reporting and risk analysis for M&E packages.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and monitor project performance.
- Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in quantity surveying, preferably on M&E projects.
- Strong knowledge of M&E systems and contracts (JCT, NEC, etc.).
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in cost management software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam).
- MRICS or equivalent professional qualification.
- Experience in both pre- and post-contract stages.
