Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Activities Coordinator to join our team at Penrose Court Care Home. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging activities that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement activity programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents
  • Build strong relationships with residents, their families, and care staff to ensure a person-centered approach
  • Collaborate with the care team to identify and address the social, emotional, and cognitive needs of residents
  • Plan and deliver activities that promote physical activity, cognitive stimulation, and social interaction
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activity programs and make recommendations for improvement

Requirements

  • Experience working in a care or activities role, preferably in a care home setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Creativity and enthusiasm for designing and delivering engaging activities
  • Knowledge of dementia care and support
