Production Operations Leader

Are you an experienced professional in managing a food or beverage manufacturing site?

Do you excel in guiding teams in a dynamic production setting?

Have you successfully navigated cultural transformations while enhancing operational efficiencies?

MacGregor Black is collaborating with a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) organization to find a Production Operations Leader. This is a permanent position.

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee the implementation of site Health and Safety (H&S) protocols in compliance with company and legal standards.
  • Drive departmental quality enhancement initiatives aimed at achieving ongoing improvements.
  • Guide, mentor, and develop team members to ensure consistently high operational performance and adherence to plans.
  • Develop and execute cost-saving strategies aligned with budgetary goals.
  • Foster a performance-driven culture with engaged and motivated personnel, ensuring that recognition and financial incentives are linked to measurable outcomes.
  • Inspire your team through effective leadership, mentoring, and performance management to maintain skill levels and proficiency.
  • Ensure clarity and understanding of all manufacturing metrics, ensuring they are met.
  • Set exemplary standards and lead by example to promote continuous improvement.

Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrated experience in leadership roles within manufacturing environments.
  • Proven ability to manage teams during periods of change.
  • Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams utilizing LEAN methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills and natural ability to motivate others.
  • Background in FMCG sectors.
  • Project management expertise.
  • Adept at managing multiple projects while effectively prioritizing to meet KPIs and objectives.
  • Specific experience in leading continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prior experience in budget management.

Compensation – approximately £75,000 plus benefits.
