Lead Security Officer

Become a vital member of our team as a Security Operations Supervisor, where you will be instrumental in safeguarding our premises. This role involves a flexible shift schedule of 4 days on, 4 days off, followed by 4 nights on and 4 nights off, with 12-hour shifts, ensuring a healthy work-life balance. You will typically work 42 hours weekly, with potential for additional hours during peak times. Key Responsibilities- Demonstrate effective leadership by establishing and maintaining high standards of performance and conduct.
- Inspire and direct your team, promoting clear ethical standards to achieve excellence.
- Oversee team performance and development, including scheduling, leave management, absence tracking, payroll inquiries, one-on-one meetings, training updates, and performance assessments utilizing Power BI.
- Manage daily security operations, ensuring the efficient deployment of security personnel across all locations to uphold site safety while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Ensure all Security Officers are well-informed of and comply with security, health & safety, environmental, quality, and training protocols.
- Act as the Incident Controller during emergencies, coordinating with the security team and emergency services, and conducting thorough investigations into incidents with detailed reporting for management review.
- Conduct regular team briefings, refresher training, and security orientations for new staff, visitors, and contractors, ensuring the team is well-prepared.
- Ensure all security systems are fully functional, manage access control (including card issuance), and oversee the reporting and resolution of any system issues in accordance with established protocols.
- Ensure all officers maintain the required uniform standards, assist in the creation and updating of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and support project management with additional tasks as necessary.
- SIA Licence
- Minimum of 3 years in security roles
- 2–3 years of supervisory or independent management experience
- Dependable and trustworthy
- Strong communication skills
- Proficient in people management
- Able to support colleagues in high-pressure situations
- Advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Strong conflict resolution and customer service skills
- In-depth knowledge of security operations and protocols
- Ability to multitask, plan, delegate, and prioritize effectively
- Self-motivated, capable of working independently
- Detail-oriented with a comprehensive perspective
- Composed and professional demeanor under stress
