Are you seeking a rewarding career that positively impacts the lives of others?

Position: Culinary Specialist at Westfields

Competitive Pay: £13.02 per hour

Joining Norse Group means becoming part of a dedicated team that provides locally sourced, nutritious meals to residents in our care facilities. We offer fully funded accredited training, excellent opportunities for career advancement, and the satisfaction of contributing to your community by enhancing the lives of others.

Role Overview:

Permanent position

30 hours per week

Shift Schedule:

The social aspect of dining and the nutritional quality of meals are crucial for the health and wellbeing of residents in our care.

Your duties will include preparing and cooking meals, overseeing the onsite catering team, and ensuring the smooth operation of the catering service in the absence of the Cook Manager.

The onsite care team will provide you with essential information about residents through a detailed catering handover sheet, promoting a collaborative approach to personalized care.

Our central support team will assist you in managing food safety, health regulations, and allergen information, while our dedicated menu and compliance teams will supply you with menu cycles, nutritional data, and promotional materials, allowing you to focus on food preparation.

You will have access to our kitchen management system via an electronic tablet, which will serve as a communication tool, providing regular updates and minimizing paperwork.

What We Expect From You:

You should have prior experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment with an organized approach, along with a solid understanding of the food industry, ideally with knowledge of textured modified diets and budget management.

A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service is essential, and we will look for you to demonstrate strong communication skills and a flexible approach to your work.

Additionally, we seek individuals who are passionate about supporting others and who align with our core values:

  • We care deeply.
  • We collaborate effectively.
  • We act with integrity.

We want you to thrive.

From the start of your journey with us, you will have access to a flexible benefits package that delivers real value.

Please note that an enhanced DBS check will be required for the successful candidate, with costs covered by the employer.
