What we offer:

Permanent position

30 hours per week

Shift Schedule:

o Week 1: Mon, Sat & Sun 07:30-18:30

o Week 2: Wed, Thurs & Fri 07:30-18:30

A typical day:

You will play a vital role in our residents' home through daily interactions, not only during meal times but throughout your workday. Our goal is to ensure that the joy of food is accessible to all, including those with specific eating and swallowing challenges. The social experience of dining and the nutritional quality of meals are essential to the health and well-being of residents in our care facilities.

Your responsibilities will include preparing and cooking meals, overseeing the onsite catering team, and ensuring the smooth operation of the catering service in the absence of the Cook Manager.

The onsite care team will provide you with the essential needs of residents through a detailed catering handover sheet, promoting a collaborative approach to person-centered care.

Our central team will assist you in managing food safety, health regulations, and food allergens, while our dedicated menu, promotions, and compliance teams will equip you with menu cycles, nutritional information, and promotional materials, allowing you to focus on food preparation.

Our electronic tablet will grant you access to our kitchen management system and serve as a communication tool, providing regular updates and minimizing paperwork.

What we seek from you:

You should have prior experience in a busy kitchen environment with an organized approach, along with a solid understanding of the food industry, ideally with knowledge of textured modified diets (IDDSI) and budget management.

A passion for delivering exceptional customer service is crucial, and we will look for you to demonstrate strong communication skills with a flexible approach to work.
