Job Summary

We are looking for a results-driven sales professional to join our UK sales team. As a Technical Sales Manager / Senior Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for developing sales of our Spectrometers (value from £300K to £5m) within the Academia and Industrial markets. You will operate in a mixed new business and account management role, generating and attending both face-to-face and virtual meetings, lead generation, qualifying and responding to incoming inquiries, conducting client presentations and product demonstrations, producing quotations and closing the sale.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve annual sales objectives and targets.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  3. Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and training sessions to showcase the capabilities of our Spectrometers.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure seamless sales processes.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to maintain a competitive edge.
  6. Participate in sales training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Proven sales experience in a technical or scientific industry, with a strong track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel occasionally.
