Job Title: Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor

Gold Group Limited is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for overseeing the commercial delivery of two large civil engineering projects in Cambridge and Chelmsford.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the commercial aspects of two high-profile projects, working closely with the site team to ensure successful project execution.
  • Procure and manage subcontractors, including change management, delivery, payments, and final accounts.
  • Handle NEC contracts, ensuring effective change management from Early Warning Notices to implementation.
  • Take ownership of project CVRs, including Profit Take and Revenue Recognition Rules.
  • Work autonomously or with support on the full commercial cycle, from procurement to financial close-out.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contracting environment.
  • NEC contract experience is essential; familiarity with other contract forms would be beneficial.
  • Proficient in end-to-end subcontractor procurement and management.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with the site and commercial teams, ensuring alignment and project success.
  • Experience in heavy civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities, or mechanical or electrical installations would be considered.
