Pool Safety Officer - Leisure Centre
Location: Leisure Centre
Job Type: Flexible Hours (Availability for early mornings, weekends, and public holidays is essential.)
Key Responsibilities:
- To ensure constant vigilance over pool patrons and prioritize their safety at all times.
- To participate in training sessions as part of the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.
- To provide first aid, conduct pool rescues, and perform resuscitation when required.
- To interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring a high level of enjoyment and satisfaction, in line with Customer Service Standards.
- To adhere to the facility's Health and Safety protocols in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act; conduct regular inspections and report maintenance concerns through the proper channels.
- To maintain cleanliness in all areas to the highest standards.
- To prepare activity zones by safely setting up and dismantling equipment, ensuring secure storage when not in use.
- To conduct pool water quality assessments and environmental tests, including spa tests if necessary.
- To attend regular team meetings and provide feedback to the Duty Manager regarding any operational matters.
Role Requirements:
- Capability to swim 50 meters in under 60 seconds and 100 meters continuously in deep water, both front and back, as well as tread water for 30 seconds.
