Pool Safety Officer - Leisure Centre
Location: Leisure Centre
Job Type: Flexible Hours (Availability for early mornings, weekends, and bank holidays is essential.)
Key Responsibilities:
- To ensure continuous monitoring of aquatic participants and guarantee their safety at all times.
- To participate in staff training as part of the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.
- To provide first aid, conduct pool rescues, and perform resuscitation when required.
- To interact with patrons in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction and enjoyment.
- To adhere to the facility's Health and Safety protocols in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act; conduct regular inspections and report maintenance concerns through the proper channels.
- To maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the facility.
- To prepare activity areas by safely setting up and dismantling equipment, ensuring secure storage when not in use.
- To perform water quality assessments and environmental tests, including spa tests as necessary.
- To attend regular team meetings and provide feedback to the Duty Manager regarding operational matters.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to swim 50 meters in under 60 seconds and swim 100 meters continuously in deep water, both front and back, as well as tread water for 30 seconds.
