Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. As an integral part of our Police Mental Health Joint Response Car (PMHJRC), you will work closely with Cambridgeshire Constabulary officers to provide an immediate response to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' mental state and risk, determining whether they are safe to be managed in the community.
  • Initiate plans for ongoing care, working closely with operational and professional leads to develop the service.
  • Provide clinical expertise and patient-focused care, improving the patient experience.
  • Liaise with other health and social care providers, having a good knowledge of local mental health pathways and services.
  • Offer advice, support, and guidance to CC officers on scene at mental health jobs.
About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, responding to 999 calls and providing critical support to individuals in crisis. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement effective care plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Requirements
  • NMC or HCPC registration.
  • Post-registration experience working with people in a mental health crisis.
  • Sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.
