Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. As an integral part of our Police Mental Health Joint Response Car (PMHJRC), you will work closely with Cambridgeshire Constabulary officers to provide an immediate response to individuals in crisis.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' mental state and risk, determining whether they can be safely managed in the community.
  • Initiate plans for ongoing care, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide expert clinical guidance and support to officers on scene, ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients.
  • Liaise with other healthcare providers and external agencies to ensure seamless care pathways.
  • Travel independently around the county, utilizing a vehicle to meet service needs.

Requirements
  • NMC or HCPC registration.
  • Post-registration experience working with individuals in mental health crisis.
  • Sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.
