The Care and Support Commissioning team plays a crucial role in the statutory responsibilities of the Director of Children's Services (DCS) and the Director of Adult Social Services (DASS). This department is dedicated to facilitating Care and Support in various capacities, including but not limited to, ensuring the procurement of high-quality, cost-effective, and timely services for individuals, managing Direct Payments, and providing purchasing assistance to operational teams. This function is essential for sourcing services in a compliant and efficient manner, delivering value for money for the council while ensuring high-quality services that meet individual needs.

Key Responsibilities

The Broker position requires close collaboration with operational colleagues and Commissioners to ensure that brokering tasks are executed promptly. The responsibilities of a Broker encompass the payment processing for care services for both Adults and Children, as well as the procurement of care services for Adults and Care Items for Children.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be proactive, solution-oriented, and an effective relationship builder, accustomed to thriving in a high-pressure environment.
