London, Greater London, United Kingdom Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Position Overview

The role of Clinical Integration Lead is pivotal in steering the leadership, advancement, and execution of clinical academic integration and transformation initiatives. This position plays a significant role in shaping strategic plans across the organization.

The successful candidate will assume a vital leadership role during a transformative phase of an established program, overseeing the development and coordination of a diverse portfolio of projects focused on clinical-academic integration within key specialties, including Cardiovascular and Respiratory services, while also aligning with core strategic priorities.

Given the complexity and dynamism of our operational context, the postholder will collaborate with senior clinical and operational leaders, academic figures, patients, and broader system networks to foster transformational change. Clinical Integration Leads are recognized as key leadership figures and specialists in their domain, functioning as senior team members within a collaborative environment to advance our strategic objectives.

We are currently seeking candidates for two Clinical Integration Lead positions (available as fixed-term or secondment opportunities). This is a significant and impactful role, and we encourage applications from experienced, highly motivated senior change program managers or operational and clinical professionals with a proven track record in delivering complex service change and integration.

Key Responsibilities

1. Spearhead the development and coordination of a portfolio of initiatives aimed at clinical-academic integration and transformation within one or more clinical specialties, particularly in respiratory or cardiovascular services, while supporting the establishment of clinical-academic centers of excellence.

2. Contribute to and support core enablers such as clinical configuration, research and education, quality enhancement, digital innovation, value identification, and population health initiatives.

3. Collaborate closely with senior clinical, academic, and operational leaders across partner organizations and the broader system. As a senior member of the partnership program team, you will be responsible for driving the achievement of the organization’s strategic goals, including the implementation of a cohesive model of care across multiple sites.

4. Assume a leadership role in your area of expertise, working collaboratively with the entire team to foster skill development and a matrix working approach that ensures high-quality delivery and outcomes across the portfolio.

The overall program is ambitious, diverse, and adaptable, aligning with evolving contexts and emerging projects. The successful candidate must demonstrate flexibility in their approach, capable of leading and managing a small team while navigating the complexities of a matrix environment.
