Assistant Director Policy

This is a full-time position responsible for the day-to-day running of the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high standards, driving all commercial areas, and facilitating exceptional member experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Represent the company as an ambassador for fitness and demonstrate elevated ways of working.
- Drive all revenue lines from membership sales to product and secondary sales to drive overall profitability of the gym.
- Effective management of controllable costs such as stock orders and cleaning supplies to eliminate wastage and overspend.
- Lead by example on reception and the gym floor in this member-facing role designed to enhance every visit.
- Ensure central processes like FUNDAMENTALS, ASCEND, and MOVE are followed and delivered to the highest level consistently.
- Drive collective buy-in to national focuses and incentives like #WorkoutWednesday and #WeCommunicate.
- Lead the recruiting, monitoring, training, and onboarding of new team members within the gym.
- Ensure that all daily, weekly, and monthly operational processes are completed consistently and to a high standard.
- Willing and able to deliver honest, constructive feedback regularly to support all team members in achieving their potential and challenging them daily.
- Reporting facilities and maintenance-related issues in accordance with best practice guidelines.
- Able to effectively manage all policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, including pool plant operations.
- Ensure consistently high standards of cleanliness and presentation at all times.
- Passion for health, fitness, and wellness.
- Level 2 qualification in fitness (desirable).
- Strong leadership qualities.
- Adaptability in communication and management style depending on the team member and their drivers.
- A positive, solutions-driven mindset in the face of adversity.
- A member champion mentality with exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Driven and ambitious with a keen desire to learn and develop both behaviors and competencies specific to the role.
- Flexibility in working hours and location to support the needs of the business, including weekends and Bank Holidays when required.
