In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of various programmes, ensuring we maintain our reputation as a reliable provider of aviation repair and maintenance services. Collaborate with your team to implement effective processes and practices that enhance flight and product efficiency.

Your primary responsibilities will include managing the operations of multiple programmes in line with business strategies. Daily tasks will involve resource allocation and management, adapting to the evolving needs of the business while nurturing your team's growth to meet long-term objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programme Planning and Coordination: Develop and maintain detailed programme plans that outline project goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource distribution. Ensure activities across multiple projects are coordinated and prioritised to align with organisational objectives.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, team members, and senior management. Organise regular meetings and communications to keep stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the programme lifecycle.
  • Resource Management: Identify and allocate essential resources (personnel, budget, equipment) to guarantee successful project execution. Monitor resource usage and adjust plans as needed to optimise effectiveness.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Recognise potential risks and issues that may affect programme success and develop strategies for mitigation. Track and report on programme risks, ensuring timely resolution and escalation when necessary.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to ensure programme deliverables meet established standards. Conduct regular assessments to identify improvement areas and enhance programme outcomes.
  • Budget Management: Create and manage programme budgets, ensuring expenditures align with financial plans. Monitor financial performance and report on variances, recommending corrective actions as needed.
  • Performance Tracking and Reporting: Establish performance metrics to monitor progress and measure programme success. Prepare and present regular status reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting achievements and challenges.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Inspire and lead project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, supporting their professional growth.

Required Competencies:

  • Background in engineering with relevant certifications;

Reporting Structure:

  • Reports directly to the Engines Programme Director.

Professional Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification, or extensive industry experience;
  • Previous management experience in a comparable role;
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement environments.
