Job Title: Contract Performance Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Performance Officer to join our team at D S D. As a key member of our Highway Works Delivery team, you will be responsible for supervising and controlling operational services on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that our service purpose is met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and control operational services, ensuring that our service purpose is met.
  • Assist the Highway Works Delivery Team Leader in monitoring and supervising performance and productivity of all site operatives.
  • Ensure that the authority standards of workmanship are maintained, and remedy any unsatisfactory works.
  • Deal with misconduct or performance issues with the Team Leader.
  • Supervise and maintain all tools and equipment, ensuring that they are calibrated and in good working order.
  • Keep up-to-date records of inspections and testing of equipment.
  • Ensure that the training and qualifications of the workforce are adequate and current.
  • Assist in the management of Lead Operatives and Operatives within delegated areas of responsibility.

Requirements:

  • Fluent English speaker.
  • Ability to work in a customer-facing role.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, with Winter Maintenance duties and possible weekends.

Location:

Bedfordshire, Bedford Borough Council Recruitment, Bedford.
