Ophthalmology Directorate Coordinator

About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Ophthalmology Directorate as an Assistant Patient Pathway Coordinator. This role requires a proactive and motivated individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and work effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and comprehensive patient records and clinical details are added onto the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) in a timely manner, adhering to the Trust's Elective Access Policy and Data Quality.
- Log and book appointments on EPR, working closely with the Patient Pathway Coordinators to ensure all referrals are clinically triaged within 48 hours of receipt.
- Manage and maintain the appointments for booking list on EPR, ensuring patients are given appointment dates in accordance with clinical priority and length of wait.
- Assist with managing the 18-week RTT pathway on EPR, ensuring patients' pathways are correct before making any changes.
- Proactively monitor outpatient clinics and highlight over or under booking to the Patient Pathway Coordinators.
Person Specification
Essential
- GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths, grades A-C.
- Good knowledge of patient pathways.
- Maintains high standards and quality of work.
Desirable
- Willingness to develop computer technology skills.
Experience and Skills
Essential
- Experience of using a full range of IT/Patient data systems.
- Excellent diary maintenance scheduling skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Desirable
- An understanding of the Trust's Elective Access Policy.
Interpersonal Skills / Communication Skills

- Accurate data entry, typing, and checking skills.
- Excellent literacy, numeracy, and communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
