Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Academic Instructor in Sports and Public Services to join our team at GI Group. As an Academic Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education and training to students, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their future careers.
Main Responsibilities:
- Teaching and Assessment: You will teach and assess students on a range of courses and learning programs, ensuring excellent teaching and learning outcomes.
- Administrative Tasks: You will undertake administrative tasks associated with your role, including learner registration, attendance, record-keeping, tracking, and reporting.
- Student Support: You will provide pre and on-course guidance to support students in achieving successful outcomes, including learner interviews and enrolment.
- Academic and Pastoral Care: You will have overall responsibility for the academic and pastoral care of a group or groups, including arranging support requirements for students.
Requirements:
- Teaching Qualification: You must hold an appropriate level teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one.
- Experience: You must have experience delivering fitness and sporting activities, both indoor and outdoor.
- Delivery Methods: You must be able to deliver to students at all levels and abilities, using flexible and innovative methods of delivery.
- Practical Experience: You must be able to transfer practical experience into useful learning activities.
- Safeguarding: You must have a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people receiving education and training.
