Gi Group is seeking a Lecturer in Sports and Public Services to join our client in Rotherham. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education and training to students, equipping them with skills for their future careers.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Teach and assess students on a range of courses and learning programs, utilizing your skills and qualifications to ensure excellent teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Undertake administrative tasks associated with your role, including learner registration, attendance, record-keeping, tracking, and reporting, as well as liaison with parents and guardians for 16-18 learners.
  • Prepare students for higher levels of study and the world of work by developing specific vocational work and employability skills through the curriculum and external links.
  • Provide pre and on-course guidance to support learners in achieving successful outcomes, including learner interviews and enrolment, and other marketing and public relations activities associated with the course.
  • Take overall responsibility for the academic and pastoral care of a group or groups, including arranging support requirements for students and communicating with the Curriculum Team Leader/Curriculum Leader and Progress Tutor.
Requirements:
  • Appropriate level teaching qualification or willingness to work towards
  • Experience delivering fitness and sporting activities, both indoor and outdoor
  • Ability to deliver to students at all levels and abilities, using flexible and innovative methods of delivery
  • Capacity to transfer practical experience into useful learning activities
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people receiving education and training
