Are you a dedicated and skilled Teaching Assistant seeking a rewarding opportunity?
U-Educate is currently in search of a Special Needs Support Assistant for a secondary educational institution. This position is a full-time, fixed-term engagement.
Role Overview
- Oversee students on an individual or small group basis
- Deliver tailored educational assistance as required
- Support may include personal care responsibilities
- Assist students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges
- Encourage and inspire students to engage with their assigned tasks
- Ensure all students remain focused and are progressing towards their learning goals
- Provide constructive feedback to the classroom instructor regarding student development
- Implement individual Educational, Social, Behavioral, and Personal Care Plans
- Attend to the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of students
Qualifications
- Prior experience in an educational environment supporting students with SEN
- Possession of a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification
- Experience with Severe Learning Disabilities (SLD), Moderate Learning Disabilities (MLD), and SEMH
- Capability to pass an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check for working with minors
- Current Safeguarding Training (opportunities for free training are available if certification is not up to date)

- Term Time Only
- 33.5 Hours per week
