Meridian Business Support Limited is actively seeking a Clinical Unit Leader for a prominent National Private Healthcare Provider.
In this pivotal role, you will assist the home manager in the daily management of the care facility. You will collaborate with a dedicated management team, working alongside our nursing staff and caregivers to ensure a high standard of service delivery that meets the diverse needs of our residents. Your primary focus will be on ensuring optimal nursing and clinical care for our residents while contributing significantly to clinical operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Home Manager to establish and execute effective clinical governance policies and adhere to NICE guidelines and procedures, ensuring compliance with NMC guidelines and regulatory bodies.
  • Provide mentorship and support to nursing staff and caregivers, offering training on contemporary clinical practices, including medication management, wound care, and ongoing health assessments of residents.
  • Maintain accurate care records for all residents, ensuring care plans are tailored to individual needs in accordance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate clinical standards throughout the care facility, identifying opportunities for enhancement and implementing necessary changes.
  • Work in partnership with the Home Manager and broader management team to foster a positive and supportive workplace that encourages staff engagement, learning, and professional growth.
  • Serve as a role model for nursing staff and caregivers, exemplifying best clinical practices and providing leadership and guidance as needed.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • NMC registered nurse with relevant post-registration experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in a Nurse Manager or similar leadership position within the healthcare sector.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a pleasant demeanor.
  • Effective team player with robust coaching and mentoring abilities.
  • Proficient clinical skills, emphasizing person-centered care.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure while effectively prioritizing tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on solutions.
  • Proficient in IT, with experience in managing electronic records and databases.
