Category Procurement Specialist

As a Category Procurement Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of high-quality products and services to support the company's growth and success.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement procurement strategies to reduce risk, improve service levels, and minimize costs across various categories of goods and services.
- Manage supplier relationships and performance, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor commodity trends and product availability to inform procurement decisions.
- Identify and research potential new products and suppliers to enhance the company's supply chain.
- Assess total costs of ownership of supplier portfolios and develop strategies to optimize costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement procurement plans that meet business requirements.
- Lead supplier development and contractual performance reviews to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Manage ERP systems and databases to track procurement activities and supplier performance.
- Education: Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a procurement or supply chain role.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, and effective stakeholder management skills.
