Job Title: Radiology Head

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiology Head to join our team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. As a Radiology Head, you will be responsible for providing professional leadership and management to our radiography team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality imaging services to our patients.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in radiography, with significant experience in operational management and human resources management. You will be responsible for leading improvement in imaging services, service delivery, and achieving organisational priorities within the Radiology Clinical Service Unit (CSU).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional leadership and management to the radiography team
  • Lead improvement in imaging services and service delivery
  • Ensure all imaging services are delivered to agreed quality standards
  • Establish and foster effective working relationships with the CSU Clinical Director and General Manager
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient-focused services and promote clinical excellence
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A BSc in diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
  • Specialised clinical training to Masters level or evidence of practical application of expertise at this level
  • Post-graduate qualification in a leadership/management programme/study or evidence of practical application of expertise at this level
  • Significant experience of middle/senior management level in a complex organisation
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
