Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Primary Healthcare Nurse to join our team at the Ministry of Defence (Defence Medical Services). As a Primary Healthcare Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist high-quality person-centred primary care, considering patients' safety, privacy, and dignity.
  • Deliver appropriate treatment, screening, and advice to patients within your professional competence and in accordance with clinical guidelines and protocols.
  • Provide safe, evidence-based, efficient, and individualized patient care.
  • Undertake preventative health programs, such as travel and vaccination clinics, new patients screening, and audiometry.
  • Undertake technical nursing treatments and procedures for patients with complex/specialist healthcare needs.
  • Provide specialist advice and support to patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse on Sub-Part 1 RNA/RN(A) of the Nursing and Midwifery Register.
  • Current Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
  • Driving Licence required for working at different sites across DPHC CWX.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), Anaphylaxis, Automated External Defibrillation (AED), Infection Prevention and Control (IPC), and Safeguarding Level 3 (Children and Adult) certifications.
