BAM UK & Ireland is seeking a dedicated Site Technician to join our team. This role involves providing essential facilities management services.

Your Responsibilities

The Site Technician will primarily operate within a designated educational environment, ensuring a comprehensive hard facilities management service. The role includes a variety of tasks, such as:


• Addressing daily inquiries and resolving issues raised by building users and management staff.

• Adopting a proactive and adaptable approach to site maintenance and logistical support.

• Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through timely responses and effective solutions.

• Developing and overseeing routine maintenance schedules.

• Providing detailed information for the accurate procurement of necessary supplies and materials.

• Maintaining secure storage for tools, spare parts, and consumables.

• Reporting maintenance concerns promptly and ensuring they are addressed efficiently.

• Offering technical assistance to colleagues as needed.

• Complying with health and safety regulations in accordance with company policies.

• Conducting risk assessments and method statements.

• Facilitating daily room setups and logistical requests.

• Managing the Building Management System (BMS) and generating monthly reports.

• Providing emergency access and out-of-hours support for urgent maintenance issues.

• Performing any additional duties as required.

Candidate Profile



• Proven experience in one or more specific trade areas.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Strong initiative and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Capacity to meet deadlines effectively.

• Proficient IT skills.

• Valid driving license.

• Previous experience in an educational setting is a plus.

Compliance with the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 is necessary for this role.
