About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Dietitian to join our dynamic team at South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of the dietetic service, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality clinical care and leadership to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert dietetic advice and support to patients with a wide range of medical conditions.
  • Lead and manage a team of dietitians, ensuring effective service delivery and staff development.
  • Develop and implement innovative dietetic services to meet the evolving needs of our population.
  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic patient care.
  • Contribute to research and audit activities to enhance clinical practice.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Registered Dietitian with a relevant postgraduate qualification.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a team of healthcare professionals.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in dietetics.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience of working with HR to support staff across a variety of related matters.
  • Experience of involvement within research.
