You will join our friendly & experienced team of Dietitians, Dietetic Assistant Practitioners (DAPs), Dietetic Assistants (DAs) & Nutrition Nurse Specialists who are based across the trust. You will support our Adult Clinical Team by covering a variety of wards & general outpatient clinics which may include virtual, face to face, telephone & domiciliary visits Trustwide.

We are a large department with over 50 staff across several teams including: Acute, Diabetes, Paediatrics, Community, Adult Weight Management, Home Enteral Feeding, Public Health and Admin, predominately based between the 3 main hospital sites (The Northumbria Emergency Care Hospital / North Tyneside Hospital / Wansbeck General Hospital). This post will sit within the Adult Clinical Team with we opportunity to gain experience by shadowing our other teams.

We provide placements for A, B & C students from across the North East & North Cumbria Partnership with all staff encouraged to take part in student training. Support will be provided for the successful applicant to help you in this mentoring role.

To assist in the provision of a quality Dietetic Service to the population served by the Trust. Includes diverse in & out patient work with opportunity to gain experience in a wide range of specialities including Diabetes, Health Promotion, Oncology, Paediatrics, Elderly Care (community and in-patients), Intensive Care & GI Medicine and Surgery.
