**About the Department**

An exciting opportunity is available at the Cromwell Hospital Dietetic Department.

We are looking to build a bank pool to support a friendly team during busy times and staff leave at the hospital.

Our team includes 3 full time Dietitians, 1 part time paediatric dietitian and 1 Bank Dietitian who works 1 day per week.

We cover a wide area including AICU, medical, surgical and paediatrics. We support all clinical area of the hospital but find key referrers include oncology, respiratory medicine, neurology, renal, liver, gastro, cardiac and our in-house GP's.

We also cover an outpatient service including but not limited to - Executive Health Screens, Gastroenterology, Nutrition Support, Diabetes, Cardiology, Renal, Bariatric, Liver, weight management and Paediatrics.

You will be able to work under pressure with exemplary attention to detail. The ability to work well in a team and to have the initiative to make decisions based on your knowledge of hospital policies and procedures is essential.

**About the role**

The primary emphasis is to provide efficient effective communication at all levels to both external and internal customers. Maintain confidentiality of information regarding patients, families, and friends always. Also, to ensure continuous improvement of the patient experience is at the centre of all activities within the individual’s scope of responsibility.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- This post holder will work within the specialist dietetic team co-ordinating internal and external communications between consultants, patients, and other healthcare professionals, booking in and arranging clinics. They will manage all resources including nutritional products to ensure the service delivers excellent high quality patient care.

Additional to this the post holder will be responsible for maintaining comprehensive records of dietetic activities and compliance with department, local and national standards.
- They will be responsible for ensuring all dietetic charges have been correctly entered in Compucare billing programme, along with providing administration support to the team including quality checks of Dietetic reports for patients.
- To cover the bulk of administrative tasks, enhance patient communication, improve appointment process and patient journey, ensure timely stock ordering and delivery of all dietetic supplements.
