Birley Bakery, a prestigious establishment owned by entrepreneur Robin Birley, is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Shop Manager to join their team. As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for driving sales and service excellence within the shop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Shop Manager in implementing company policies, procedures, and standards to ensure exceptional customer service and sales performance.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a friendly and approachable attitude to maintain high standards of customer service among staff.
  • Supervise a team, providing guidance and support to ensure effective operation of the shop.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a retail environment, with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience in supervising a team, with a focus on customer service and sales growth.
  • A friendly, approachable attitude, with excellent communication skills.

Working Hours:

The shop is open 7 days a week:

  • Monday-Saturday from 7am-7pm.
  • Sunday from 8am-6pm.

This role will work 9 hours per day, on a rota basis 5 days out of 7.
