About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Deputy Medical Director to join our team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trusts. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and driving clinical excellence across our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide senior clinical leadership and support to the Medical Director in delivering high-quality patient care and improving clinical outcomes.
  • Develop and implement clinical governance and quality improvement strategies to drive excellence in patient care.
  • Lead and manage a team of clinical leaders to achieve strategic objectives and improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other senior leaders to develop and implement organizational strategies and policies.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical education and training programs.
Requirements
  • Senior Substantive clinical leader with at least 5 years' clinical experience post CCT or equivalent.
  • Full Registration with GMC without any conditions or restrictions on licence to practise.
  • Evidence of participation in annual appraisal.
  • Evidence of CPD.
  • Experience of senior clinical leadership at service or Divisional level within an acute trust for at least 2 years.
  • Commitment to multi-disciplinary working and evidence of leading such a team.
  • Substantial knowledge of Clinical governance.
  • Experience of working with patient groups and managing complaints.
  • Experience of delivering significant change programmes.
  • Evidence of delivering change at Specialty or Divisional level.
