Marketplace Consultant, Amazon Strategic Account Services

Amazon Strategic Account Services (SAS) is a program designed to improve the customer and Selling Partner experience on Amazon by working directly with Selling Partners to enhance value, selection, and convenience across their business. As a Marketplace Consultant, you will be responsible for working with a group of Selling Partners to help them grow their business on Amazon, offering support on launching new programs, exploring Amazon's marketing tools, advising on account strategy, and selecting listings. You will develop and convert a sales pipeline using a highly consultative and data-driven approach, onboard and build long-term relationships with key decision-makers within prospective accounts, and develop processes, tools, and content for this service.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Create compelling value propositions around the SAS program and service offerings.
  2. Identify, qualify, and engage with prospective Selling Partners based on a clear understanding of our Selling Partners and their needs.
  3. Manage a portfolio of Selling Partners to drive individual strategies, manage timelines, expectations, and own communications, leveraging a strong understanding of Amazon programs, tools, and processes.
  4. Produce profound business recommendations and actionable insights by using a wide set of analytical tools to interpret customer data and make recommendations to maximize the potential of assigned Selling Partners.
  5. Implement and track metrics to measure success of sellers in your portfolio, using these metrics to guide your work and uncover hidden areas of opportunity.
  6. Prepare and present performance deep dives to facilitate regular discussions around business progress, current challenges, and strategic plans with Selling Partners.
  7. Develop a thorough understanding of the competitive environment, including knowledge of complementary and/or competing product offerings.
  8. Lead additional projects such as conducting competitive analysis, developing content, inventing processes, and tools to benefit internal and external stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
  1. 3+ years of professional or military experience.
  2. Experience in procurement, negotiation, sales, consulting, supply chain, product/project management, or marketing.
  3. Experience within e-commerce or Retail fields.
  4. Experience in selling nascent products/services into new markets.
