Key Responsibilities

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will be instrumental in providing specialized support to students with SEN, ensuring they thrive in a learning environment that caters to their individual needs. This includes:

  • Providing tailored support to students with SEN, working closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive approach
  • Assisting students with daily tasks, such as personal care and mobility, as needed
  • Supporting students with their academic and social development, promoting independence and confidence
  • Collaborating with the SEN team to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students


Requirements

To be considered for this SEN Teaching Assistant role, candidates should possess:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent
  • Experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant in a school setting
  • Paediatric First Aid qualification (desirable)
  • A deep commitment to supporting children with special educational needs
  • A clear DBS check
  • A legal right to work in the UK
