Patient Safety Specialist

About the RoleWe are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Corporate Patient Safety Team as a Patient Safety Manager. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across the organisation to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development and implementation of the Trust's Patient Safety Strategy
- Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical staff to identify and mitigate risks to patient safety
- Provide education and training on patient safety and risk management
- Conduct systematic reviews of patient safety incidents and develop recommendations for improvement
- Advise on the application of the national Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF)
- Knowledge of the Health Service and current national initiatives, particularly in relation to Clinical Governance and patient safety
- Excellent communication, presentational, training and report writing skills
- Ability to influence/persuade/motivate others
- Knowledge of CQC lines of enquiry
- Advanced Microsoft Office training (specifically Word and Excel)
