About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our Corporate Patient Safety Team as a Patient Safety Manager. The successful candidate will have a keen interest in patient safety and a strong focus on team working and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
The post holder will be responsible for promoting patient safety across the organisation through liaison with clinical and non-clinical staff, providing education and training, and supporting with the systematic reviews of patient safety incidents.
You will support the Trust to develop an effective patient safety focus and culture through analysing themes and trends within incidents, as well as supporting care areas to look at recommendations and safety actions to improve the delivery of services to patients.
The post holder will advise on the application of the national Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) to managing risk and safety.
Person Specification
We are looking for a candidate with knowledge of the Health Service and current national initiatives, particularly in relation to Clinical Governance and patient safety. The ideal candidate will also have excellent communication, presentational, training and report writing skills, as well as skills in the analysis and interpretation of information.
