Critical Engineering Supervisor–PRS LTD– £60,000

Location: Liverpool Street

Salary:£60,000

Hours: Days, Monday to Friday

Our client, a renowned company with a 40-year reputation, is seeking a highly skilled Critical Engineering Supervisor to join their team at a Banking Site in Liverpool Street. The successful candidate will serve as the Day Supervisor, overseeing the isolation and restoration of power, as well as issuing permits to contractors involved in the fit-out of this critical banking facility.

Leading up to the building's operational launch, the candidate will undergo comprehensive training, familiarize themselves with the building's systems, and assist the Shift Supervisor in creating processes and setting up the building. They will also witness and shadow commissioning activities, reviewing project documentation.

The ideal candidate will undertake training and building/system familiarization as part of the project's Soft Landings activities, including:

  • Supporting fit-out contractor activities, such as isolations, connections, work permits, etc.
  • Maintaining systems and assets in a data-driven environment, utilizing new digital tools and platforms (training will be provided).
  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of the building, its layout, functions, and complexities through developed practices, scenario drills, continuous assessments, staff training, and personal development.
  • Liaising with engineering contractors, shift teams, Engineering Manager, and Permit Manager to plan and execute works.
  • Assisting maintenance teams during quiet periods on the project.
  • Maintaining records of maintenance activities as required for directly employed staff and sub-contractors.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for:

  • Endorsing day-to-day and future compliance to safe working practices, quality standards, conformity, and best practice methods.
  • City & Guilds Electrical discipline competency, Parts 1 & 2, or equivalent apprenticeship.
  • Comprehensive building services knowledge in similar environments to a minimum of HVAC standards.
