The Role and Department Overview

We are excited to invite applications for a position within the Faculty of Arts & Humanities Research Team. This role is pivotal as we embark on the development of the innovative 'Transformative Humanities' framework. Research is integral to our mission, and we engage in a wide range of activities that promote interdisciplinary collaboration, including seminars, public events, and performances.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in a dynamic team dedicated to enhancing the research administration across the Faculty. You will collaborate closely with Senior Research Administrators and the Deputy Executive Dean for Research, as well as liaise with various departments and university teams such as Research Innovation Services and Marketing. Our team operates in a hybrid model, with access to a historic office setting.

Key Responsibilities

As a Research Support Administrator, your responsibilities will encompass:
  • Managing the daily schedule for the Deputy Executive Dean (Research).
  • Serving as the primary contact for the team’s communication channels.
  • Overseeing the work of the Faculty Filmmaker in Residence.
  • Assisting with research administration processes, including internal funding applications.
  • Maintaining the Faculty’s website and SharePoint resources.
  • Coordinating and supporting events related to the Faculty and research centers.
  • Documenting and organizing Faculty committee meetings.
  • Contributing to initiatives aimed at improving administrative processes.
