Position Overview
We are excited to invite applications for a pivotal role within the Faculty of Arts & Humanities Research Team, as we embark on the development of the innovative 'Transformative Humanities' framework. Research is integral to our mission, driving both our teaching and collaborative initiatives. Our dynamic research environment fosters interdisciplinary collaboration through various activities, including seminars, conferences, and public engagements.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in a high-performing team that oversees the administration of the research landscape within the Faculty. This position involves close collaboration with Senior Research Administrators and the Deputy Executive Dean for Research, as well as engagement with colleagues across our seven departments and various University teams, including Research Innovation Services, Marketing and Communications, and Finance and Procurement. Our team operates in a hybrid model, with an office located in a historically significant area.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role include:
- Managing the daily schedule for the Deputy Executive Dean (Research).
- Serving as the primary contact for the team’s communication channels.
- Overseeing and supporting the activities of the Faculty Filmmaker in Residence.
- Assisting with research-related processes, including research leave and internal funding opportunities.
- Maintaining the Faculty's website and SharePoint resources.
- Coordinating and supporting Faculty, departmental, and research center events.
- Organizing and documenting Faculty committee meetings.
- Contributing to initiatives aimed at improving operational processes.
