Administrative Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to join our Temporary Staffing Service team at Durham University. As an Administrative Support Specialist, you will provide administrative support to various departments and faculties across the institution, working on short-term placements to cover administrative roles, duties, and projects.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to departments and faculties, including managing records, preparing reports, and coordinating events.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of services and support to students and staff.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including departmental managers, faculty staff, and external partners.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of administrative processes and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Five GCSEs at Grade C or above, including English Language and Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
- Experience of working in a busy office environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Flexibility to work on short-term placements, sometimes with minimal notice.
