We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dietitian to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (279). As a key member of the Acute Dietitians team, you will play a vital role in providing expert dietetic advice to patients on the stroke ward.
Main Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive dietetic assessments of patients, taking into account their medical, social, cultural, and psychological factors.
- Determine and prescribe the most effective dietetic treatment plans, ensuring patients receive the best possible care.
- Provide training and education to patients, carers, and staff on enteral feeding and tube care, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Negotiate and implement changes to patients' diets, overcoming barriers to change and promoting healthy eating habits.
- Communicate complex information to patients with varying levels of understanding, ensuring they are empowered to make informed decisions about their care.

Requirements- Bachelor of Science (Honors degree) in Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent qualification.
- State registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and membership of the British Dietetic Association (BDA).
- Proven experience working in an NHS in-patient setting, with a strong understanding of dietetic practice and patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, carers, and healthcare professionals.
