This is an exciting opportunity to join our Paediatric Team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust, where you will be part of a large and dynamic team working across the trust.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dietitian to provide specialist paediatric care to our varied caseload, including general clinics and inpatient ward cover. The successful candidate will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of clinical research and innovation.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist paediatric dietetic services to in-patients and out-patients, including general dietetic-led paediatric clinics and group education sessions.
- Work with the Paediatric Team to manage the department's caseload of home enteral feeding patients.
- Participate in supervision of student dietitians on clinical placement and support the supervision of band 5 dietitians and dietetic support workers.
- Cover clinical workload of other dietitians during annual leave and undertake normal activities of the department, including MDT working, projects, meetings, service developments, audits, research, CPD, and training other health professionals.
We are looking for a Dietitian with:
- A degree or postgraduate diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics.
- Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration as a dietitian.
Desirable qualifications include relevant other training or qualifications, experience in managing patients with complex needs, and experience in the clinical training of student dietitians or other staff.
