Dietitian Specialist Paediatric

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Paediatric Team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust, where you will be part of a large and dynamic team working across various paediatric services.
Main Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality dietetic care to in-patients and out-patients, including general dietetic-led paediatric clinics and group education sessions.
- Work with the Paediatric Team to manage the department's caseload of home enteral feeding patients.
As a Specialist Paediatric Dietitian, you will:
- Participate in the supervision of student dietitians on clinical placement.
- Support the supervision of band 5 dietitians and dietetic support workers.
- Cover the clinical workload of other dietitians during annual leave.
- Contribute to the development of the department's multidisciplinary team, projects, meetings, service developments, audits, research, and continuing professional development.
- Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Nutrition & Dietetics.
- Evidence of post-registration study or development.
- Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration as a dietitian.
- Relevant other training or qualification (or working towards).
- Experience in managing patients with complex needs, including high medical complexity and multidisciplinary team working.
- Ability to work as a team member, including working within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience in the clinical training of student dietitians or other staff.
- Evidence of having undertaken own development to improve understanding of equalities issues.
- Evidence of having championed diversity in previous roles (as appropriate to role).
