Dietitian - Specialist Paediatric Care

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Paediatric Team at St Richards Hospital, working collaboratively with a large team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to our paediatric patients.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist paediatric care to our varied caseload, including general clinics and inpatient ward cover. As a research-active team, we have strong links to the Trust Research and Innovation Committee and local Higher Education Institutions, providing opportunities for staff to develop clinical academic careers.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality dietetic care to in-patients and out-patients, including general dietetic-led paediatric clinics and group education sessions.
- Work collaboratively with the Paediatric Team to manage the department's caseload of Home Enteral Feeding patients.
- Participate in supervision of student dietitians on clinical placement and support the supervision of band 5 dietitians and dietetic support workers.
- Cover clinical workload of other dietitians, e.g. during annual leave, and undertake normal activities of the department, including MDT working, projects, meetings, service developments, audits & research, CPD, developing resources, training other health professionals, and leading/participating in national awareness events.
- Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Nutrition & Dietetics.
- Evidence of post-registration study or development.
- Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration - dietitian.
- Relevant other training or qualification (or working towards), e.g. managing patients with complex needs, MDT working, and experience in the clinical training of student dietitians or other staff.
- Paediatric experience.
