Role Overview

The data center sector is pivotal to our operations at Turner & Townsend alinea, and we are excited to announce an opportunity for a Cost Manager to join our team. This permanent role is ideal for an individual eager to collaborate within a dynamic team, engaging with Clients across the UK and Europe.

Your resume should reflect your successful experience in managing costs for civil, structural, and architectural projects at the Cost Manager level. Familiarity with the data center sector is highly desirable. Candidates should possess strong technical skills and be capable of collaborating effectively within a team while taking responsibility for their specific deliverables.

You will guide clients through all phases of projects, from feasibility studies to pre-contract and post-contract stages, ensuring value is delivered to clients.

This position is suited for individuals with expertise in negotiation, procurement, post-contract cost management, contract formulation, execution, and analysis aimed at optimizing operational and financial performance, minimizing financial risks, and ensuring ongoing commercial success. Experience in commercial pricing, modeling, and strategies to enhance value for clients is also expected.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent in Cost Management / Quantity Surveying
  • Chartered status with the RICS or equivalent
  • Proficient in measurement and cost planning (NRM2)
  • Familiarity with JCT / NEC / FIDIC contracts
  • Commercially savvy with strong negotiation capabilities
